At Concord, we believe that supporting our employees’ mental health and wellbeing is a fundamental part of who we are as a company. This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re proud to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to our team by offering practical and meaningful support where it’s needed most.
This evening, we’re hosting a special Wellbeing Talk led by long-time Concord collaborator Sheila McMahon, a Registered Counsellor, Family Therapy Practitioner – and, uniquely, a stand-up comedian.
Sheila’s engaging approach to emotional wellbeing helps make difficult topics more accessible, blending therapeutic insight with humour to create sessions that are not only informative but genuinely uplifting.
The session, open to all Concord employees, will explore key areas that many of us face in both our professional and personal lives:
- Self-talk – recognising and managing our inner critic
- Offloading emotions – why it matters and how to do it in a healthy way
- The Drama Triangle – identifying unhealthy dynamics and building better relationships
Whether you’re navigating day-to-day stresses or simply looking to better understand your own mental wellbeing, Sheila’s talk offers something for everyone.
To ensure that support is always available – not just during awareness weeks – Concord provides access to confidential support services for all employees. This service offers a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where individuals can speak privately with trained healthcare professionals about any personal or work-related concerns. You can find out more about these services on our careers page.
We’re proud to be a company where wellbeing matters, and this Mental Health Awareness Week is a timely reminder of the importance of checking in – with ourselves, and with each other.
